Hi! I'm Sara.

I recently completed a master's degree in human-computer interaction at Carnegie Mellon University. Before that I worked on social media products for a few years after majoring in American Studies at Yale, and before that I lived in both Lima, Peru and midcoast Maine, so I can sing you any song off of Shakira's 2001 album Servicio de Lavandería and make a mean blueberry pie.

As an undergrad I studied narrative filmmaking, a discipline focused on crafting immersive user experiences. Film taught me to have a discerning eye and ear, and to be attentive to the methods we use to progressively communicate information in a meaningful, cohesive, and engaging way. I'm interested in finding ways to apply these principles to the experiences that shape our interactions in (and out!) of this world.
